ArtBiz Asia 2025
Theme: New Exploration in East Asian Arts & Culture
ArtBiz Asia collaborates with globally renowned art institutions, including museums, foundations, art fairs, auction houses, and media, sparking new synergies between integrated resorts and cultural tourism while anticipating future industry trends. The fourth edition of ArtBiz Asia, themed “New Exploration in East Asian Arts & Culture”, takes place at a time when globalization and local heritage coexist, with art and creativity playing a crucial role in shaping the tourism industry. As cultural tourism integration becomes a global trend, the challenge lies in balancing economic growth with cultural authenticity, ensuring that tourism development and cultural value can coexist harmoniously.
Macao has been actively promoting urban revitalization and arts-driven tourism in recent years. The Macao SAR government, in partnership with six integrated resort enterprises, has launched district revitalization initiatives and hosted various arts festivals to explore new possibilities for the fusion of art and tourism. Across East Asia, destinations such as Naoshima in Japan, Beijing’s 798 Art District, and Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan of South Korea have become internationally recognized cultural tourism hotspots, demonstrating how art and creativity are reshaping global travel experiences and generating economic and cultural value for cities.
At the same time, AI and digital technology are unlocking new frontiers for cultural tourism. From immersive experiences and virtual reality (VR) to digital museums, technological advancements are enhancing accessibility to art and innovation while creating fresh opportunities for cultural preservation and tourism development.
This year, ArtBiz Asia embraces the theme "Pathways to Symbiosis", focusing on how art and creativity can empower cultural tourism. The forum will bring together leaders from integrated resorts, art institutions, luxury brands, technology, and media to explore innovative business models that drive sustainable tourism and economic growth.
