Ms. Helena Fernandes

Director of Macao
Government Tourism Office

Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes came on board the Marketing Department of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in 1988, and throughout the years organized many local and overseas tourism exhibitions, conferences, seminars, marketing, and promotional activities of different scale. She became one of the two Deputy Directors in September of 1998, where she continues to be highly involved in the marketing and promotion of Macao as a tourism destination. Ms. Fernandes was appointed as Director of MGTO in December of 2012. In 2016, Ms. Fernandes was awarded the Medal of Merit – Tourism by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government.

She concurrently serves as Coordinator of the Tourism Crisis Management Office of the Macao SAR Government and is member of the Tourism Development Committee, Committee for the Development of Conventions and Exhibitions, Economic Development Committee, Cultural Advisory Committee, Committee of Cultural Industries, Urban Planning Committee, among others, of the Macao SAR Government.

Mr. Carlos Marreiros

Chairman of MAA,
President of the Fellow Members Council of The Architects Association of Macau

Carlos Marreiros is an award-winning architect, urban planner, designer and artist with his cutting-edge creations widely recognized and internationally published. Born in Macau, he studied in Macau, Portugal, Germany and Sweden before returning to Macau in 1983. He is regularly invited to exhibit and lecture at galleries and Universities in Europe, America and Asia. He is also a university professor and community leader, serving in many non-governmental organizations and governmental committees. He was bestowed with honorific decorations by Macau SAR Government’s Chief Executive, by two former Governors of Macau and by the President of the Republic of Portugal. Carlos Marreiros is the main founder and partner of MAA Marreiros Architectural Atelier Ltd, Bambú Sociedade de Artes Limitada and Albergue SCM – ALBcreativeLAB.

Ms. Anne Li

General Manager
Beautiful Asset (Beijing) Art Industry Inc.

Graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a degree on French literature, Anne Li used to serve as the cultural officer of the China Embassies in Mauritius, Madagascar, Belgium and Canada.

During her diplomatic career, Anne Li initiated and participated actively in various art events such as large-scale cultural performance and art exhibitions. She started to focus on the phenomenon and the art market of post-70s and post-80s artists. She has devoted her passion on cultural public welfare programs such as her co-initiation of the “China Young Artists Project (CYAP)” with China International Culture Association under the Ministry of Culture, PRC. She worked as the International Promotion Director at CYAP.

Anne Li used to serve as the Director of America, Oceania Affairs Department in China International Exhibition Company of China Arts and Entertainment Group, Ltd., under the Ministry of Culture, PRC; the Art Director at Cui Ruzhuo Studio; the Vice General Manager of Beijing Cathay View Culture Ltd. She is now the General Manager of Beautiful Asset (Beijing) Art Industry Inc.; the General Manager of China Demei (Beijing) Exhibition Company; Chief Representative of Association of Chinese Cultural Promotion, Canada.

Mr. Konstantin Bessmertny

Artist

Born in 1964 at Blagovesthensk in the former USSR and now living in Macau, is one of the most distinguished artists working in Asia today. His technical mastery, achieved after seven years of studying Fine Art in the grand academies of the former soviet union, combined with his detailed knowledge on a wide-range of subjects including literature, music, history and politics lend to his work an intelligence and a credibility that is rarely witnessed in contemporary art.

Konstantin Bessmertny’s work employs humor and candour in depictions so subtle and gentle that they require revisiting time and time again to uncover all that they have to offer. Never formulaic or predictable, Bessmertny uses his work as a means of exploring and experimenting with new ideas, finding inspiration in the most bizarre of places and creating work that continues to challenge and excite preconceived notions.

Ms. Cristina Kuok

Vice President, MGM Arts and Culture

Ms. Cristina Kuok is the Vice President of MGM Arts and Culture, and she leads all the arts and cultural programs development in both MGM Macau and MGM COTAI. Ever since Ms. Kuok joined MGM in the year 2006 during its pre-opening she has led distinctive arts and cultural exhibitions, including Botticelli’s Venus, Biennale of the Lions with the City of Lyon, Valkyrie Octopus, a largest to date site-specific installation by Joana Vasconcelos, Learn and Play! teamLab Future Park, and many more.

Taking Ms. Kuok’s unique insights and strong network in the arts circle, as well as her passion towards art, she is
always doing her utmost to bring more spectacular entertaining art to the market and promote arts and culture to all sectors in the society. A veteran in the hospitality, communication and PR industries, Ms. Kuok now
combines her passion for the arts in her work.

Mr. Calvin Hui

Chairman of Ink Now & 3812 Gallery

Calvin Hui is an acclaimed cultural entrepreneur, art advisor, collector and curator based in Hong Kong. In 2018, he founded the first multifaceted ink art platform INK NOW and organized the first edition of INK NOW Art Expo in January 2019. Spearheading to hold a new form of art expo that is different from the traditional art fair, he hopes to raise international attention to ink art by grounding it in academic research and market insights.

Calvin Hui co-founded 3812 Gallery with Mr. Mark Peaker in 2010, and now being recognized as a leading art gallery based in Hong Kong, and currently acts as Artistic Director. In 2018, Calvin and Mark made a big move and set up 3812 London Gallery in the exclusive St. James’s district, marking a major step in the expansion of the gallery’s international presence. As an art collector and experienced curator, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the Hong Kong Arts Centre from 2009-2012. He was also appointed to be Member of Art Museum Advisory Panel, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, HKSAR, and Advisor for the Arts Education Group, Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) from 2014-2016. Starting from 2015, he is a Member of Art Working Group of Tai Kwun.

Mr. David Tung

Director Lisson Gallery Shanghai

David Tung is Director of Lisson Gallery Shanghai. Over the past three years, he has introduced Lisson Gallery artists to collectors and audiences in China through collaboration with numerous museum and art organization including Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg at Shanghai 21st Century Minsheng Art Museum, Shanghai, China(2016); Ryan Gander’s first exhibition in China at Cc Foundation, Shanghai, China(2017); Julian Opie at Fosun Foundation, Shanghai,China(2017); Dan Graham at Red Brick Museum, Beijing(2017);Jorinde Voigt at MAO SPACE,Shanghai, China(2018); Marina Abramovic at Light Society, Beijing,China(2019)and Tatsuo Miyajima solo exhibition at Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum, China(2019).

He was formerly director at Long March Space (2009-2014) and served as deputy director of the Yuz Museum, Shanghai (2015). David Tung holds B.A. in Asian Studies and Languages from the University of Texas, Austin and is a graduate from the Kellogg-Guanghua Executive Master of Business Administration Program (class 2016).

Ms. Lucie Chang

Founder Lucie Chang Fine Arts

Lucie Chang is the second generation of a well-established family of Chinese antique art collector in Hong Kong. Chang completed her Master Degree in Art History in UK. During her study of Doctoral degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, she started the connection with the local contemporary art sector here.

Chang established Lucie Chang Fine Arts in 2011 and the art space was opened in 2014, helping private collectors collect art around the world. The art space focuses on contemporary art. It also tries to explore the boundary between Chinese culture and other foreign cultures via a series of exhibitions. Currently, it focuses more on contemporary street/ pop art and seeks business development with corporations and museums for better growth and exposure of the artists. For instance, the special art project held for Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort Hotel last year.

In 2018, she stepped into the auction business by setting up the new branch for Guangzhou Holly’s International Auction in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Chang has organized international exhibitions such as ‘On Sharks and Humanity’ at the Maritime Museum and actively participated in important air fairs in various regions, including Art Central, Art Fair Tokyo and Art021 Shanghai, etc. She has earned her solid reputation and international network of contacts throughout the years. She is a rare talent in expanding international market and building international image.

Mr. Andrew Mead

Chief Architect (ARBUK) MTR Corporation Limited

Andrew has been MTR’s Chief Architect since 2013. He is responsible for the architectural design of all new MTR stations, trains and transit facilities. He is also in charge of the critically acclaimed Art in MTR programme, commissioning local and overseas artists to create site specific artworks in stations.

Prior to MTR, Andrew worked for the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, where he was responsible for the design of stations on the North East Line, Circle Line, Downtown Line and the Thomson-East Coast Line, including the award-winning Stadium and Bras Basah stations. During his 30-year career in the transit industry, he has been responsible for the design of over 200 metro and light rail stations in London, Toronto, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong.

Ms. Janice Wong

Chef Janice Wong’s never-ending passion for culinary art has propelled her forward to test the limits of dessert making. She has been named Asia’s Best Pastry Chef; for the second year running by the prestigious San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best for 2013 & 2014. Janice Wong also won the title of Pastry Chef of the Year from the World Gourmet Summit Awards in 2011, 2013 and 2015, including the title of Young Woman of the Year from Her World in 2012.

Rachel Lehmann and David Maupin founded Lehmann Maupin in 1996. In addition to its diverse American artists, Lehmann Maupin represents artists and estates from across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and has been instrumental in introducing numerous artists from around the world in their first New York exhibitions.

Known for championing artists who create groundbreaking and challenging forms of visual expression, the gallery prioritizes personal investigations and individual narratives. Lehmann Maupin prizes the distinct conceptual approaches that its artists offer on the essential matters that shape international culture today, including gender, class, religion, history, politics, and globalism.

Alison Pickett is an art consultant, based in Hong Kong for the past 32 years. Originally from London, Alison specializes in curating site specific commissioned collections of sculpture for corporate, commercial and retail development projects. Every project starts with the development of a holistic and cohesive narrative based on the Client’s criteria for each destination, thus embracing local cultures and history to create place-making and unique identities through the art and sculpture. In this way we deliver a bespoke client service, believing that a successful project is based on creative collaboration between ourselves, the client, architect, interior and landscape designers, and the artists.

Mr. Lu Xun

Founder and Director of Sifang Art Museum

Lu Xun lives and works in Nanjing, China. He is a collector of contemporary Chinese and international art. In 2013, he founded the new Sifang Art Museum designed by the renowned American architect Steven Holl. He worked closely with architects and artists to plan and commission more than 40 buildings and art installations in the Sifang Collective, which was nominated by The New York Times as a “Leading Culture Destination in Asia and the Pacific” in 2015. Lu has been selected for “40 Under 40” by Apollo Magazine as well as “The World’s Top 100 Art Collectors” by Artnet. He currently sits on the board of Acquisition Committee of the Tate Modern and Fosun Foundation Advisory Committee, and a founding member of Delfina Foundation’s Asia Pacific Committee.
